Relax · North end of town

Natural, sulfur-free hot spring pools ranging from cool to very hot, with mountain views in every direction. Perfect for the morning after.

Easy walk · 5 min from downtown

A short walkway leads into a narrow canyon where Canyon Creek thunders 285 feet down. Climb the stairs to the high bridge for the view.

Hike · 6 mile loop

A loop around the rim of the town with waterfalls, bridges, and views down into Ouray. Can be done in shorter sections from several trailheads.

Scenic drive · Ouray to Silverton

Twenty-five miles of US 550 over Red Mountain Pass, widely considered one of the most beautiful drives in America. Not for nervous passengers.

Ouray is the "Jeep Capital of the World." Rent one or book a guided tour to see alpine wildflowers, ghost towns, and high mountain passes.

Ride the free gondola, wander the historic downtown, and hike to Bridal Veil Falls. An easy and beautiful drive via Ridgway and Placerville.
